Fittonia Plant for Terrarium

I'm a late comer to the business of teaching and making terrarium. I had no idea what is a terrarium and how to make an enchanting garden in a glass container. The first time I saw a terrarium ( open one) was at Sunday Soul Sante, a flea market sale in Bangalore. It was not exactly a flea market, more of a vibrant group of sellers and a well organized/planned exhibition sort of thing.

Of the many different plants I started to know and learn, fittonia was one of the striking plant. The shades, the colors, the size etc was all unique for me. Though, this plant was not available in most nurseries, I found couple of shops in Bangalore which sells this.

Fittonia Plant Care

This plant prefers indirect sun. Meaning, avoid keeping this plant on bright sunlight area. The ones I have at home are kept on places where there are shade or partially shade.

About watering the fittonia

As their origins are from rain forest area, it's best to keep the soil most. However, don't make the soil soggy.
