Repotting Haworthia

Haworthia is a common succulent found in most nurseries in Bangalore. I have bought many from the close by plant nurseries - Indo American and Garden Care at Ulsoor.

However, I must say that I haven't tired to propagate these little house plants. One thing that stops me from reporting and making new saplings is my long absence and lack of care during that time I'm away.

Another thing is that I was bit lazy to spend that time to create a new soil for the plant to grow. But, looking at the above video, I got a bit inspired to try repotting and making better soil that what was given from the nursery.

Haworthia reinwardtii - like most succulents, it prefers under-watering to over-watering.

I often find the names of succulent confusing and hard to remember. So, I plan to post these pics here and on the blog, so that it's easy to revisit and recollect.

This pic was taken at Lalith Florist at Pallimukku, Trivandrum. Apart from cut flowers, they have a small collection of succulents.

Some are strikingly red, while most brings green patterns and some come in broad leaves. when it comes to building terrarium, choose healthy plants and small leaves best in a terrarium.

For those who are new - refresher class is an opportunity to renew or rebuild the terrarium you have made.

Another objective of this class is to share your garden related ideas, meet people of similar interest and have a good time doing things which you like.
